The BPBU laid the initial foundation for systematically managing and developing the university\u2019s business potential, optimizing assets, resources, and strategic partnership opportunities. A significant transformation followed when USK officially attained the status of a State University with Legal Entity status (PTNBH) under Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 38 of 2022, granting broader autonomy in institutional and financial governance while simultaneously requiring stronger financial self-sufficiency.<\/p><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">As a follow-up to these changes, the Business and Endowment Fund Directorate (DBDL) was officially established on January 5, 2023, under the Rector\u2019s Regulation of Syiah Kuala University No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the University Rectorate. The establishment of the DBDL represents a strategic step toward strengthening the professional, structured, and sustainable management of the university\u2019s business activities. This approach allows DBDL to respond effectively to evolving policies and strategic priorities determined by the university leadership.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The business unit's strategic development plan is carried out in three main phases: initiation, self-sufficiency and the contribution stage. in the initiation stage, business units begin to develop through initial investment, governance development, and improvements to management systems for existing business units. This stage is aimed at ensuring that business units can achieve a sustainable condition (self-sufficiency) within the specified time period.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">At the self-sufficiency stage, the business unit has achieved operational independence and is no longer dependent on the support of its parent institution to carry out its organizational and business activities.
