This website serves as an effective communication and collaboration platform to support innovation-driven business growth, promote sustainability, and strengthen synergy between academia and industry.

History

Strengthening financial independence within Syiah Kuala University (USK) began with the establishment of the University Business Development Agency (BPBU) through Rector’s Decree No. 1374/UN11/KPT/2018. The BPBU laid the initial foundation for systematically managing and developing the university’s business potential, optimizing assets, resources, and strategic partnership opportunities. A significant transformation followed when USK officially attained the status of a State University with Legal Entity status (PTNBH) under Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No. 38 of 2022, granting broader autonomy in institutional and financial governance while simultaneously requiring stronger financial self-sufficiency.

As a follow-up to these changes, the Directorate of Business and Endowment Funds (DBDL) was officially established on January 5, 2023, under the Rector’s Regulation of Syiah Kuala University No. 1 of 2023 concerning the Organization and Work Procedures of the University Rectorate. The establishment of the DBDL represents a strategic step toward strengthening the professional, structured, and sustainable management of the university’s business activities. It is expected to become a leading sector in supporting university revenue beyond Tuition Fees (UKT) and to reinforce USK’s vision as an independent and globally competitive institution.
